Upgrades, Partnerships and improvements
It has been a busy few months here at InTouch with lots of changes happening, some big, some small. One major change was us moving to a new hosting provider, namely UK Fast. Our server hardware and software have all been upgraded significantly which has led to InTouch performing better than ever before. Page load speeds are up and your emails are flying out to your lists at speeds we’ve only ever dreamt of!
Speaking of email, we have made another big change in this area, enlisting industry experts for email delivery, Postmastery. Their overall knowledge around how to get emails into inboxes is helping us take this side of our business to the next level. We use PowerMTA from Port 25 to deliver your emails and Postmastery are experts in configuring this software to get the best possible results.
Alongside Postmastery we have been upgrading our email delivery and monitoring infrastructure to ensure the best possible results for your marketing campaigns. We have recently improved our algorithms for handling bounces so they are more accurate than ever. As a result you may see more hard bounces in your campaign reports but trust us, this is a good thing.
NeverBounce, experts in email address verification, claim “30% of emails go bad in just one year. If over 10% of your emails are bad, less than 44% are delivered”. Whether someone has left a job, signed up using a fake email address or simply stopped using an email account, email addresses go bad. Why waste your money sending emails to an account that no longer exists? Why jeopardise your chance of getting emails through to valid email addresses in the process? Plus it can harm our reputation, so these improvements to the accuracy of our bounce handling are a win-win!
